I graduated in Modern Languages in 1996 (Italian and German) and did my TESOL (CELTA equivalent) at Language Link, London, in 1997. I’ve taught English in several countries such as Italy, Hungary, Spain and Ireland, and joined the cheerful and helpful community here at MSE in 2015.
I enjoy travelling to different countries and meeting all sorts of cultures, not only physically but also through the eyes, ears and tongues of our students, being a keen linguist myself. I speak Italian, Hungarian, French, German and Spanish to varying degrees, and also Gujarati and some Hindi, but I’m only a beginner in Portuguese.
My passion for languages helps me see why students make certain mistakes and enables me to explain things better because, as a language learner myself, I know where they’re coming from. When I arrive at school everyday I feel I’m not just a teacher but also an eternal student of the colourful world we live in – so please do come and teach me, too!
