Important update regarding Corona Virus and school closure
In the current climate of uncertainty regarding the Corona Virus, we anticipate the need for staff and students to self-isolate at some point in the near future. In preparation for this temporary disruption to your course, we have taken steps to ensure that you can continue to learn with your teacher through an online platform and also stay in touch with your fellow students.
MSE ONLINE LEARNING – AN ALTERNATIVE COURSE DELIVERED TO YOU IN YOUR HOME
Please note the following
- You will be invited to join an online, real-time teacher led course as soon as we decide that there is a need for students and staff to self-isolate
- Sessions will take place at the usual time (real time) in a ‘video conference’ style
- The course will be interactive and follow your normal course structure with your course book
- All four skills (Listening, speaking, reading and writing) will be covered in your lessons as usual, as well as grammar and vocabulary
Online teaching will not be quite the same as a normal classroom experience of course, and it is going to be a new challenge for your teacher. We hope that you will fully engage with this different learning experience and send your feedback to us to help us improve what we do.
Finally, you will also be given an opportunity to join the MSE hub – an online social event at the same time each weekday where you can stay in touch with the school community and chat about current events or any problems you may be experiencing.
We hope very much that this will only be a very short and temporary arrangement. More importantly, please continue to follow the guidelines to remain in good health.
