September 2009 Events by Duncan Watson
Usually September is a quieter month than August in our school as many of our short-term European students return home to continue their studies in their own countries. However, this year has proved to belie this trend as we remained busy throughout the whole month. Studying English in London remains a popular option for many in this time of economic hardship.
Whatever the reason, it certainly is not the climate! September saw some abysmal weather in London – rain, rain and more rain. As luck would have it, one of the wettest days fell on 15 September, the night of our third boat party of the year. Thank goodness that most of our boat is covered as outside the heavens opened up, lashing the boat with a downpour all night long. Despite this a good time was had by all, it was a great way to round off the summer and say hello to autumn. If you would like to see some pictures from our boat party or any of our other Social Programme events, why not take a look at our Mayfair School’s Social Programme Photo site? And, if you have any interesting photos that you would like to share with us, please send them to Aman, a teacher who runs this site on the school’s behalf: msmayfairpics@gmail.com
That’s all for now – check back in October for another update.
