London Events - September 2008 Programme

Regent Street Festival

On the 7th September Regent Street will be closed to traffic from 12 noon until 8pm for the Regent Street Festival. It's free and only a short walk from the school. People from all over the world will enjoy this Great British experience with live music, marching bands and much more. Don't miss out on all the fantastic surprises the various shops will offer from traditional afternoon tea to a James bond themed afternoon tea at Bose.

The Great River Race

Come to the River Thames at Ham to enjoy a marathon on the river. On the 13th September around 300 crews from around the world will race the 22-mile course to receive the Challenge Trophy of The Company of Watermen & Lightermen of The River Thames and become the 2008 UK Traditional Boat Champions.

London Fashion Weekend

London Fashion Weekend follows London Fashion Week at the Natural History Museum from the 24-28th September 2008. Pick up style and beauty tips from experts or enjoy a makeover. With over 150 designers to choose from you can buy high-end designer fashion and accessories at reduced prices. The late-night openings are a great opportunity to catch up with your friends and have a drink while enjoying the latest fashion.

The London Design Festival

Establis hed in 2003 the London Design Festival has become one of the key parts of the UK's creative festival season. From 13-23 September you can enjoy this exhibition at the Southbank Centre, the Royal Festival Hall, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, Earls Court and many more with a total of 150 different venues including museums, shops or colleges.
