Mayfair News
October 2008 Events by Steven Miller
It’s October and my favourite season has finally arrived in London, if a little late, filling the city with its rich golden, autumnal colours and the magical sounds of fallen leaves rustling along the windswept streets. It has been a busy month at Mayfair with many new students being welcomed into the school from Asia, Europe and South America. Our Social Programme has been equally lively this month: our students have already enjoyed a personalised tour of CamdenTown by Kelly, one of our longest serving teachers; and last week Mayfair went ten-pin bowling at Elephant and Castle’s iconic shopping centre. This weekend the clocks go back, giving our students an extra hour to savour the delights of cocktails at the Tattershall Castle boat bar on London’s gorgeous Embankment. It’s Halloween next weekend but Mayfair students are not easily spooked, so while other more timid souls are preparing to stay at home behind locked doors out of sight from witches and ghouls, our students are already preparing their costumes for our special Halloween Fancy Dress Party to be held in conjunction with Infernos, trendy Clapham’s trendiest of nightclubs. A prize goes to the scariest student. And the winner is…. I’ll keep you posted on that!
