August 2009 Events by Duncan Watson
August was a great month for our school. We enjoyed record numbers of students, who came from all over the world to learn English with us. Our Mayfair College courses in Business Management and Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management continue to prove popular with students with enrolments up yet again on last month. This month also saw the launch of our Careers Advice Programme. In conjunction with Mayfair College, any of our students who wish to have guidance before committing to their next course of study are able to book a consultation with one of our college lecturers. These advice sessions can provide you with useful input at the crossroads of your academic career - from choosing the right programme of study, to financing options and job prospects, to the application process itself. If you are interested, why not come to our office to book your appointment now?
Once again our school had a very busy Social Programme this month. We kicked off August with a trip to Taro Japanese restaurant for some lovely-jubbly sushi and we rounded it off with a visit to The Tattershall Castle, an old favourite of our students. But there is no doubt that the crown jewels of this month’s programme were our Trip to Brighton, led by Helen and Mat, and Mayfair’s very own Paintball War, led by David and Aman. As we end the month we are already drawing up plans for another Boat Party on Tuesday 15th September. This will be the last boat party of 2009 so don’t delay - get yourself down to the office and secure your place now while there are still tickets left.
That’s all for now, check back in September for another update.
