June 2011 Events

This June saw the school take delivery of 2 new Promethean Smartboards, which were installed in two of our biggest classrooms. These interactive whiteboards represent the cutting edge of classroom technology as they bring into the classroom the power of the internet as well as a wide range of educational programmes aimed at English language learners. The school now has three interactive boards in its site for use in our English language teaching programmes and Mayfair College university pathways programmes in Marketing Management, Business Management and Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management. Needless to say, this equipment does not come cheap but the school believes this investment will raise the quality of the services we provide to our students yet further.

Our Social Programme this month featured several familiar events: there was a trip to Nam, Soho’s most famous Vietnamese restaurant, on 3rd June; a visit to Salsa, London’s most famous Latin venue on 10th June; not to mention, Rafael’s Pool Night on 16th June. This month also saw the first of our new programme of mid-week parties at some of the West End’s top nightclubs, with a partying and dancing at with Movida on 9th June.

However, overshadowing all these events was the one that our students had all been waiting for – the return of the Mayfair Summer Boat Party on 23rd June. This time we set sail with an even bigger boat, allowing 200 students to get on board. As always a good time was had by all and we have the photos (and videos!) to prove it!
