April 2011 Events

What a great month April was for the school as we received news from the British Accreditation Council (BAC), following our inspection on 30 March, that our school has been accredited untill 2015. This accreditation has been awarded to our school in recognition of the high standards we have set in our university pathways programmes (NQF level 3, 5 and 6) in Business Management and Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management, accredited by the Association of Business Executives (ABE). It is also fitting recognition of much hard work on the part of our Mayfair College lecturers and students. The school is very proud of them. Well done Mayfair College!

As, if to celebrate this success, Spring arrived in force this April as the sun came out to shine on London in all its splendour. Just as well as this month the school enjoyed a truly packed Social Programme with no fewer than five events on offer! There was something for everyone this month: for sports lovers we had a night of pool playing and liquid refreshment on 1st April; for culture lovers there was a trip to The National Gallery on 15th April; and, for those who just wanted to go out and have fun there were no fewer than three opportunities to do just that with a night out at East London’s most famous club, 93 Feet East, on 8th April; Zoë's tour of London’s best West End pubs on 21st April; and, to see the month out with a bang there was a full-on night of partying at Pacha Nightclub on 28th April.

It was not all good news this month though as we had to say good bye to Stefania, our school’s current Administrative Officer. In the six months she has been with the school Stefania has become a very popular member of the office team. We will all miss her very much and wish her the best of luck in her new life in Switzerland.

Well, let’s see; did anything else happen in April? Hmm, no, I don’t think so….Oh, wait there was that small matter of a wedding between…What was their names?...William and Catherine?...Was that it? Nothing, special though…I don’t know why I even mentioned it….
